Summary of prerequisites

Marketing Strategy:

  • None
  • There is no formal prerequisite for this course.

  • 0-3 Yrs Experience
  • Preferably SMstudy® Certified Marketing Strategy Associate
  • There is no formal prerequisite for this certification. However, it is preferable to complete the SMstudy® Certified Marketing Strategy Associate certification and study the recommended processes from the SMstudy® Guide – Marketing Strategy book before applying for the SMstudy® Certified Marketing Strategy Professional. It is also highly recommended to attend a 2-day Marketing Strategy Professional classroom training provided by a SMstudy® approved VMEdu Authorized Training Partner (V.A.T.P.).

  • 3+ Yrs Experience
  • Study of all processes in SMstudy® Guide – Marketing Strategy book and 20 mandatory educational hours.
  • Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years work experience. It is preferable to complete the SMstudy® Certified Marketing Strategy Professional certification and study all processes in the SMstudy® Guide – Marketing Strategy book before applying for the SMstudy® Certified Marketing Strategy Specialist certification. It is also mandatory to earn 20 educational hours by attending Marketing Strategy Specialist classroom training provided by a SMstudy® approved VMEdu Authorized Training Partner (V.A.T.P.).
  • If a student is working somewhere as a marketing professional then his experience can be counted towards 40 hours and he can go through the online course and give the exam. There is no such rule to go through the classroom course and then give the exam.
